Zebede’s Books and Antiquities

Set in one of the city's larger Victorian buildings, Zebede’s Books and Antiquities is a marvel to every collector. Upon entering the main part of the store, one would find the usual present-day collectibles, books, and antiquities. Off to one’s left is a small, yet tastefully decorated, parlor complete with an antique stove and tea tray awaiting the guests who wish to sit a spell to talk or do research of their own. Many of the items found here are from the most recent century, with but a smattering of other rare items from the centuries prior.

Toward the rear of the main storefront is a small office, usually found cluttered with several stacks of books and papers from ongoing research. To the right of the office door is a delicately carved wooden spiral staircase with a chain blocking entry.

If one were invited, one would find on the upper level, a large library of books for perusal and several artifacts from all over the world, Zebede is more than willing to share knowledge, but not part with it. It is rumored that only in the very rarest of cases has anyone been able to convince him to part with anything from his upper level store.
