Wright Lighthouse
The Lighthouse Haven of Kasymm Barbeoux...Brujah Primogen... It stands as a beacon in the darkness to those that seek shelter amongst the tempest tossed waves of life and unlife...
Kasymm's primary haven stands sentinal on the western shore of Hidden Cove Bay. Below the lighthouse and annex the sea crashes against large breakers which are the western tip of the entrance to the bay. On the eastern side of the lighthouse is the lightkeepers annex, renovated for Kasymm's personal comfort. A pathway winds its way down a gentle slope to the seashore and a mile long expanse of beach, broken only by a long pier extending into the bay. Continuing down the beach one eventually comes to the commercial fishing port and warehouses, small seaside restaurants, the notrorius area known as Lowtown with its seaside taverns, and eventually the public beach , As the bay swings northward the traveler passes the yaucht club and marina which gives ease to the three mile seashore which is inhabited by the affluent members of the community in their seaside mansions. Off from the Northeastern tip of the bay and removed from the Bay itsself is the airport.Entrance to the thirteen short story tower is through two heavy oaken doors fashioned strong and sturdy against the elements. Upon entering the tower, one walks across sleek barn planked wooden floors. Only a large podium stands just off center of the circular base of the tower. (This was the podium upon which Clastier's statue rested.) The staircase winds its way up the walls, never stopping until it reaches floor twelve. Brass railing upon the spiral staircase accents the brass and glass elevator that rises in a brass structure to carry observers to individual walkways at every other level. (Kasymm at one time used this as a gallery displaying her artifacts upon the luminated walls.) Wooden deacon's benches line the lobby walls interrupted at both the north and south by bars which once contained refreshements for visitors.
Entrance to the thirteeth floor is by palm identification only.IThat floor holds Kasymm's computerized security system for the city. Monitors displayed various areas of the city and are manned by Kasymm's ghouls. It is through a doorway on this floor that Kasymm steps, to walk the widow's walk around the light head which shines well above her --any damaging light reflected skyward by a wide iron shield.
The annex is accessable either through the lighthouse by a well disguised door or from a door directly from the entry path. The annex is small. The downstairs consists of a foyer which separates the kitchen (which butts against the tower and has only a small window over the sink) from the sitting room. Asmall flight of wooden stairs leads upstairs from the foyer to Kasymm's usual sleeping area. In the sparcely furnished sitting area a large bay window looks out over the sea and is fitted with shutters to keep out the light of day. The eastern wall consists of a large fireplace nestled between ceiling high bookcases. Behind the kitchen is a small bathroom (for Kevin's comfort). Behind the sitting room is a secret room accessable my a moving bookcase. The dual staircase leads down to Kasymm's underground catacombs, a mass of tunnels leading to storage and sleeping chambers or upward to Kasymm's bedroom and bath which takes up the entire second floor.
Behind the annex is a two car garage which connects by a small dutch door to the back of the kitchen, A hundred yards to the south, just at the foot of the mountains is a stable and barn with a small guest house occassionally used by those Kasymm chooses to keep near.
In its heyday the lighthouse and annex was alive with fresh flowers, small twinkling white lights, confortable furnishings, and classical music. Now it sits as though unoccupied, a dim light in the annex the only sign that someone is indeed in residence, presumably the ghoul she has chosen to attend the lighthouse beacon.
Again, this is all considered haven and unaccessable without invitation.
