It is widely accepted that Kasymm is a member of Clan Brujah, the truth is slightly less black and white. Her true clan is True Brujah. This fact remains, largely unknown by the general populace.

Fernando DeLacarsa - (Kasymm's grandsire to speak)  was crudely embraced during the early part of the 14th century only a few decades before the Dominicans started the Secret Society of Leopold to destroy all supernatural threats to the church.  During this time the Cainites were destroyed by the Inquisitors thus decreeing final death on Kasymm's grandsire's sire, a Spanish Brujah.   However, seeking to avoid final death he bartered, leaving Fernando to be sacrificed .... underestimating the strength and resourcefulness of his young progeny.  In a fit of retribution against his sire, he cast blame upon him by leaving his mark during raids in which he burned churches, killed priests in his vendetta against the church and it's inquisitors.....but mostly his rage against his sire who was beheaded at the hands of the Inquisitors.

Fernando followed the teachings of Tyler until the Anarch revolt.  The Camarilla had demanded Jus Noctc decreeing no personal power, union of kindred, espouting that they must stick together lest they be staked separately.  Fernando, empowered by his hatred, had lead an Anarch pack who joined with the Assamites to hunt out and kill the Spanish elders and was famed to have fought in the Sicilian revolt which achieved the final death of the LaSombra antidiluvian.

But Fernando became disenchanted when the Anarchs became sloppy....brawling before kindred, becoming obvious before mortals.  It was at this point that his friend and constant companion in battle, Cardina Gaza, split with Fernando when Fernando was asked to become a representative of the new Camarilla.  He firmly believed in the disciplines set in rule at the Convention of Thorms.  However, Fernando and Cardina remained steadfast friends----though often found in heated debate over sect doctrines.

Labrina Barbeoux (Kasymm's sire)-1520-This was the atmosphere in which Kasymm's Sire, Labrina Barbeoux was embraced.  Her sire seldom spoke of his life before his inclusion, but she knew it had involved salvation from execution.  Labrina grew and learned sitting at the feet of both Fernando's Camarilla compatriots and Cardino Gaza's Sabbat acquaintances  He absorbed and embraced the belief that the myth of the relationship between elder and neonate was just that....a myth. Instead he estolled to all Libertas or free will --- a truth he would pass to his childer in a few hundred years. He spent two centuries living in peace, studying in France, debating in Germany and Italy, studying in the East, spreading his doctrine of Libertas and independence from rule finally expanding his scope to the Americas in 1754.  He found America wild and adventurous, traveling, selling munitions to revolutionaries, sailing back and forth aboard ships carrying goods to both factions.  It was during this time that he destroyed a kine shipbuilder named Corday and embraced his abused young wife, Kasymm, in 1799.

Kasymm (Corday) Barbeoux - Because of his understanding of the Sabbat and his dealings with both factions, the leaders of both were becoming increasingly dissatisfied with his True Brujah diplomacy. He was spending time with the Anarchs in the West, Camarilla in the New World and Sabbat in Europe.  Meanwhile, Kasymm absorbed greedily the ideas of her sire whose unheard of ideas included not only the equality and independence of  kindred but of women as well.  She liked the idea of not wasting time plotting for gain easily obtained by any adept kindred but plotting against those that would conform her to their mode.  The idea once seeded, grew and grew influencing most of her opinions.  She met Canadian Sabbat, adoring one known as Beatrice LaAngou a long time friend of her sire's.  She spent time sitting in the shadows at Giovani conclaves, read constantly in the libraries of Montreal, listened to stories of great warriors who fought the Sabbat in Bavaria, remembered Russian scholars and warriors as well.  Kasymm soaked up knowledge like a sponge...of art, life, battle, doctrine...nothing more exciting to her than the history of her independence.  She supposed that was due to the abusive life she led when mortal. Stories of strong kindred fascinated her. One name seemed to often arise - Balcan - always spoken in hushed tones and never explained.

It was in her sixty-first year (1860), as she prepared in her chamber to pack for yet another journey to France to see the grand diva, Felana Dona perform her favorite opera, that Labrina was set upon in their own haven in New york.  Kasymm would discover in the next decade that it was a Camarilla hired Assassin who diablerized her beloved sire before her very eyes as the servants hid her in the balcony.  Even more, it was with the blessing of the Sabbat who agreed that it was time to quiet Labrina's tongue.

For the next century Kasymm was hidden among the Tremere,. Taught, protected, at times nearly held prisoner for her own safety due to Lady Beatrice's fondness for her and wish to keep her from the same fate as her sire.  But eventually the inevitable happened.  Jaylynn BellaDonna, Beatrice's grand niece and a confidant and friend of Kasymm's during her exile, mentioned a name ---- Balcan -- Clastier Balcan.  She wondered if this was the Clastier she had heard mentioned in her sire's histories.  No longer content to waste away her time in studies, she wanted to live.  Her sire's strong will and stubborn resolve for change was well passed to her and eventually she set out.  Ignoring the pleading of her protectors she would go to Hidden Cove -- and see if this Clastier was worth her father's respect and more importantly, her own.

Kasymm was a Baron without a country.  She adopted her sire's last name and set out to fulfill his dream of fairness, protection, developement for kindred and kine alike.  She had the advantage of great connections in each sect but also the disadvantage of many enemies in each.  Her wealth was limitless, her education priceless, but her life...empty.  She did not ask for the princedom  She never asked for the city.  She met and began to believe in the one she had sought since she was first enthralled by his story.  And she saw this man and others killed by those who knew only greed and lust for power. Men who were destroyed by the dissatisfaction of those who wanted everything.  Labrina, Malcom Dorroga, Clastier...just a few.  But she is determined that it will stop here in Hidden Cove.  She will not fight just with words but with heart and soul and the blade.  She will remove from this earth those that destoyed those she admired...those who destroy those that they cannot turn to their way.  She lives in spite of the Sabbat and Camarilla....she lives because of the Sabbat and Camarilla. She will pledge no allegiance to either but to the presevation of kindred and kine.......and to Labrina.
