Malcom's Lair

Malcom's Lair is situated at the crossroads of Wolfe Avenue and Batsmore Street. It is a large brick building facing Batsmore and the lush five acre park and pond just across the street. As one stands on Batsmore and looks at the five story building, picture Kassie's Place on the left with an entrance and Malcom's Lair on the right, with no street entrance, only a neon sign indicating its existance.
The only way to enter Malcom's Lair is by entering Kassie's Place. If one walked passed the desk clerk..which one must....to the back of the lobby, the elevator would be on his left, the wall straight ahead, and the double doors to the right - which is the entrance to Malcom's Lair.
Entering Malcom's Lair the long wall along the right sports a series of tinted windows, allowing the recliner to view Batsmore Street and the park. Directly ahead and at the farthest end of the room is the bar. This bar runs the length of the wall and ends at a service door which opens out into the alleyway behind the building. Stools are lined the entire length of the bar. The bar normally stocks a bountiful supply of spirits for both kindred and kine, those for kindred being cleverly disguised. However, since the raids upon the wyne suppliers has been called by our favorite ST, you kindred will have to enjoy the living vessels that roam our streets and alleyways. The wall to the customer's left is solid brick and houses the booths for the tavern. These booths have lattice work above and no candles, which allows those who cannot bare light to sit and converse in comfort. Scattered throughout the Lair are wooden tables and hardback chairs for the general kindred and kine population. Candles recessed in bowls adorn these tables.
Directly above the bar is a loft, supported by large cedar beams. This is the favorite haunt of the local town feline protector and Sheriff. Kasymm Barbeoux's office is located at the immediate left corner of the one who just entered. Access is by palm imaging.Â
There are three ways to leave Malcom's Lair. (1) Through the entrance doors and back out through the lobby of Kassie's Place, (2) Through the door leading to the alley or wine cellar which will probably be off limits by choice of the tenders or Song, and (3) through the SECRET passage in Kasymm's office which you will NEVER know about. This exit wisks her from the Lair, up a set of stairs behind the elevator and out onto the flat roof or into her suite on the fifth floor.
The general atmosphere is that of a comfortable, darkened, tired old tavern which is open strictly for the rest, fellowship, and commiseration of kindred. However, note the footsteps of the occassional kine as they march unknowingly across the wooden floors. Act accordingly and remember breaches of the Masquerade are dealt with most harsly.
