Kassie's Place

Kassie's Place is situated at the crossroads of Wolfe Avenue and Batsmore Street.  It is a large brick building facing Batsmore and the lush five acre park and pond just across the street.  As one stands on Batsmore and looks at the five story building, picture Kassie's Place on the left with an entrance and Malcom's Lair on the right, with no street entrance, only a neon sign indicating its existance.  Upon entering the Inn one notices immediately to the right the desk clerk's area which consists of a long cherry counter.  Behind the clerk (usually Neal) is a conglomeration of small boxes attached to the oak wall in which residents can receive mail.  These boxes can only be opened by keys in the desk clerk or owner's possession, or by the tenants room card.  To the left of the traveler is a stairway which climbs the wall, passing several windows which look out over Wolfe Avenue as it goes to the second floor.  Of course, these windows are tinted. Carpeting on these stairs is threadbare and worn.  Behind these stairs is an elevator which has a gate closure instead of the standard solid doors and is used by those who frown upon the climb to the upper floors.

The lobby itself is furnished with well worn oriental rugs which cushion the legs of several overstuffed chairs and sofas.  End tables support small table lamps in the style of early Americanna and provide light dim enough to satisfy even the most tender of kindred eye.  At the left rear of the lobby is a set of wooden double doors to the right - this is the entrance to Malcom's Lair. (If one walked passed the desk clerk..which one must....to the back of the lobby, the elevator would be on his left, the wall straight ahead, and the double doors to the right).

The rooms in the inn are sparcely furnished.  The inn is for those who seek temporary safety or are just too lazy to find their own haven.  Each consists of only a bedroom and bath (except for Kasymm's suite and one for her guests, of course).  All are totally secure.  Fire escapes are outside of each room, however access into the  shuttered windows is by key card only (so nightwalkers, if you choose to leave via the window, don't forget your key).  Guests may have weapons in their rooms. However, NO weapons will be allowed in Malcom's Lair.  When leaving Kassie's Place, all weapons must be hidden or disguised.  Once outside, the problem of discovery by kine is YOURS. This building was once Elysium and it's owner still considers it such and since she happens to be the Brujah Primogen, break her rules at her own risk.  So newbies....if you are short of funds, a room awaits you in Kassie's Place. Our prices run from inexpensive to practically nil (and once in a while...nil).
