We know that you all are a very special case - and likely to consider yourselves as such when you view this place that once was home. So we thought we should take a few minutes to address you specifically.

This is mostly only if you are planning on rejoining the Cove to play - so please keep that in mind.

We want you to know - that we would sincerly welcome you back with open arms -- but we also feel that you need to understand a few things about Hidden Cove as it is now.

Depending on when you were last here -things might have changed quite a bit...

Such as

1. We take a much more strict and active role in approving characters and making sure they will fit the Cove. We don't have the "open door" policy we once had. This is more to protect the game and it's current state of play - and our way of respecting the players that are currently involved in storylines than anything else. We're sure you can understand that. So even if you wanted to play a character you once played - you're going to have to submit and have approved a character sheet for that character. (If it has been less than 6 months since you last played - contact us first, we might still have one on file.)

2. We have also taken a much stricter view and harsher stance on those that leave the group unexpectedly and without warning - not meaning that we actually take a harsh view of the "player" themselves - but rather - we have begun to take steps to deal swiftly and not necessarily as nicely as we once did - with characters that are left in "dangling" storylines.

So basically - what we are trying to say is - as much as we are happy to have you back - if you were hoping to renew your play with former characters - that option simply may not be available to you. Whether it is because they were used in plotlines and have since met their final death - or simply because they would have a hard time finding a niche to fill in the current HC.

Also - because of the way things have changed in the Cove - and depending upon the length of your absence - we may ask you to play a completely new character - following the guidelines of what we are accepting as stated in The Rules.

We are always willing to talk over with you what your options are and where you go from here - but you also must realize that another thing that has changed is:

We (Leigh & Patrick) have become a pretty cohesive team over these past years and we have done that by working together in all things as Storytellers - so to get any discussion had - you're going to have to come to both of us and deal with both of us. Hopefully that won't prove to be a problem. We sincerly hope not.
